Brandt Services, Inc. got it start back in 1982. Dave Sr. was asked to check some emergency lights at a little pizza parlor to see why they didn't work. Being a design engineer by trade and working with batteries and chargers made this task fairly easy. He determined quite quickly that the battery was the problems. Dave contacted Dual-Lite, the manufacture of the equipment to find out how to get the parts. Dual-Lite was just starting to form a series of service centers across the United States. They approached Dave Sr. about becoming a service center and the rest was history.
Brandt Services, Inc. has since then grown from one man to five. We are a true owned and operated family business.
Sandy (wife) came on board in 1985 to help with the office duties. She was a manager of that pizza parlor that had the failed emergency light. She was already used to billing and invoicing so she was a great help right from the start.
Dave Jr. (son) started after his tour of duty in the Marine Corps in 1989. DJ was an electrician on F/A-18 so working with the electronics of emergency lighting and dimming systems seemed like a natural fit. He is our field service technician.
Kathy (daughter) started part time in 1990 at first to help with the invoicing and normal office paperwork filing. It wasn't long before she became full time since business kept growing.
Darin (son) signed on in 1992 to take care of shipping and receiving. He worked for a couple years then moved on to pursue his desire to be in sales. After several years of working for another company and being one of or the top salesman he returned back. He now handles our outside sales.
